Alter Call

May 1st we will give our first alter call.

We had a bit of a holiday but now we are back and Wednesday after noon is going again.
We will do a bit of review tonight and next week we will ask the kids to accept Christ.
It's a week from now but if you'd like to make a stick note and pray with us for not only a good reception to what is taught but that the seed has been planted on good soil and that none that are raised up should fall away.

There are 3 photos here I had to splice together

We've hired a new gardener who we really hope will stay he seem to be a nice guy and were told is a hard worker.  He and his wife came for the interview and there is a sparkle in their eyes that most people don't have.  When we see it we have a good feeling that a right choice is being made and we get our hopes up.
It was also quite uncommon to see the wife answer most of the questions for the husband.  Normally they don't seem to know much about each other.  It was just a good experience.  He is the cousin of Own, Kyo, and Sreynygt.  On their holiday they asked him if hew wanted to come work for us that we had an opening.

We also interviewed Sdung's husband.  We believe he will start mid May once his work finds a replacement.
He will mostly work with the school but will help with repairs where needed.  He's a nice guy and very quiet.

We hired Ly (my assistant's) wife this month, so not the family is living with us.  This was a very good thing for the orphanage as they are quite the amazing couple.  They are extremely competent, strong Christians that have a great desire to help kids and advance the faith.

May 1st Sdung will change jobs and will work full time for the school.  When her husband starts they will move to a house they've rented here in the village.  Ream's uncle is renting them his second house for get this, a two story home I think 5 bed room for ,,, ready $50 a month.  I wish I would have know about it, $50 a month is just crazy.

So the orphanage and it's staff is dong really well right now.

At the school we interviewed 3 of the teachers that we will hire next year and we feel pretty confident in that.
So we got 3 junior high teachers with 30 years experience, one, Khmer, one chemistry  and one physic teacher.  It will cost us $450 a month for these three, I still think that is amazing.

I just love how things come together and who God puts in our path.

I'll let you know what happens next Wednesday May 1st.
